This work is the only thing that helps us these days.

Brief

Dmytro and Oleksandr worked in the same team. On the morning of February 24,  everyone began to text about the explosions in their general team chat. Everyone could hear them; some of them were closer to the explosions while others were farther away. On the first day, they gathered their loved ones and left for the west of Ukraine; once they arrived, they decided their girlfriends and children should go abroad. Dmytro and Oleksandr were left alone.

Since the guys knew many celebrities and famous people, they thought they could use their help to raise money and get involved in volunteer work. Now, they are working with a number of volunteer groups from all over Ukraine. The guys start their day by recording a video: “Good morning, we are from Ukraine” and posting it on their social networks and Telegram channel, where they publish information about their activities and reports on them.  Dmytro and Oleksandr send all of their help to proven volunteer organizations in different cities.

During their volunteering activity, they bought 10 bullet-proof vests and 90 pairs of footwear for the military. They also helped the military hospital and the children’s clinic Okhmatdyt (Protection of motherhood and childhood) in Kyiv by providing medicines. They’re providing aid in the form of medicines and hygiene products to the cities of Bucha, Irpin, Kharkiv and other cities in the Kharkiv region, oblast as well as Mariupol. They also focus on displaced persons in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, helping them with everything they need.

They are now raising funds for the purchase of ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the territorial defense forces. These include thermal imaging cameras, tactical gloves, unloading gear, knee pads and sleeping bags. They plan to purchase them in Europe.  Oleksandr came up with the idea of providing our military with backpacks with underwear, a flashlight, a first aid kit, a sleeping bag, and non-perishable food. He says that the military would be very excited to receive the first delivery of such backpacks.

The guys say that every day is an emotional roller coaster. But being active all the time and being able to help people is distracting and motivating. They try to keep a good mood every day and make people happy with their smiles. The guys are inspired by people who write to them and their words of gratitude and support.
